Collaborative interviewing is the most effective way to ensure that potential job candidates are the best fit within an organizations culture. However, in today’s virtual environment it is difficult for the interviewers to discuss their thoughts face to face. One way to address this issue is to collaboratively share thoughts using a web based portal.
Provenir has developed an Employer Portal which allows for collaborative interviewing and a central repository for resumes, screen notes, and interviewer comments.
You can visit our portal at http://www.pcrecruiter.net/pcrbin/employer.exe?uid=provenir.provenir

Do you really need a consultant?
A reality check
We are consultants. We love helping our clients find the next rock star for their organization, or set up employee policies that match their culture and help them move forward. We have years of experience, a tremendous, quality talent pool; we know the market and we are professionals you can count on.
Should every company hire us?
First, let’s look at what everyone else is doing.
In 2008, the consulting industry as a whole brought in $330 billion. That number dropped during the economic downturn of 2009, but by just $20 billion. Though consulting is a somewhat cyclical industry that will always ebb and flows with the economy and local market conditions, Corporate America continues to rely on consultants of all kinds to not only thrive, but to grow, compete and win.
Last year, according to Plunkett Research, global consulting industry revenues in human resources, IT, strategy, operations management and business advisory services came in at $345 billion.
These days, no organization can be successful without a keen eye on the bottom line. And, with human resources becoming a bigger and bigger part of the cost of doing business, calling in an expert or an extra set of hands, in the form of a consultant like Provenir, can help you manage growth while controlling both the head count and the overhead.
Or, you could just hire someone, right? Here’s what we tell our clients:
- Time and expertise — Do you have the expertise on staff, or will you need to spent time and money on training? Does your current staff have the available time to execute and complete the project without negative impact to other initiatives or service?
- Objectivity – Do you need an unbiased outsider? One of the major benefits of outside consultants is that they don’t bring vested interests to the problem. They bring a fresh outlook, and offer suggestions without being overly concerned with internal personnel issues.
- Change management — In certain situations, you need an outsider to make unpopular recommendations — such as a staff structural change — which will eliminate positions or the abandonment of a popular, but overly expensive program. Even though you can do the job yourself, it may not be wise to do so.
